Have your say on new parkland at Bella Vista And Kellyville

Landcom is seeking community ideas and suggestions to help shape the look and feel of new open spaces in Bella Vista and Kellyville Station Precincts as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest Places program.

The Sydney Metro Northwest Places program is focused on creating diverse, well-designed places for current and future communities along land surrounding stations on the new North West Metro Line.

Landcom Development Director, Adam Turnbull said the new open spaces at Bella Vista and Kellyville will provide a combined 85,500m2 of open space for the community.

“The new open spaces will provide locals and visitors from across the North West a place to unwind in peaceful surroundings, engage in recreational activities, and promote community wellbeing,” Mr Turnbull said.

“These will be places where people can walk the dog, have a lunchtime picnic, or simply somewhere quiet to get away for a moment from the bustle of busy daily life.

“We want to know what you would like to see and do in your new urban backyard so that we can create a place everyone can enjoy.

“Community feedback will help Landcom understand how locals could use these spaces and inform the designs for play equipment, sporting areas, and recreation features.”

The feedback received will be considered by Landcom for the detailed design of the open spaces prior to lodging development applications with The Hills Shire Council.

The community consultation program includes an online survey open until 29 January 2024, an interactive website, multiple online and in-person opportunities for the community to share their ideas and talk to the project team.

Community consultation is open until 23 February 2024. People are invited to visit the online engagement page at https://www.joinin.landcom.nsw.gov.au/SMNWP
