The Bella Vista community celebrates colour and creativity at Family Fun Day

On Sunday 28 June, Bella Vista Pocket Park was filled with creativity, connection and community spirit as Landcom and the Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) welcomed local artists, families and visitors to the Colour and Creativity Family Fun Day.

The event marked the culmination of the 10-week Colour and Creativity program, which encouraged participants of all ages to explore realistic drawing in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Throughout the day, community members enjoyed viewing the participants' final artworks while taking part in interactive activities, visiting community market stalls, enjoying food trucks, and taking in live entertainment.

A special highlight of the day was welcoming Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne, who joined participants and the community to celebrate the achievements of the program and recognise the important role of creative initiatives in communities.

The Colour and Creativity program, delivered in partnership with CMRC, was designed to build confidence, encourage creativity and strengthen community connections through art. The final showcase provided participants with the opportunity to proudly share their creative journeys and celebrate everything they had achieved over the 10 weeks.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a wonderful celebration of local creativity and community.
