Colour and Creativity family fun day

The community joined us at Bella Vista Pocket Park for a free local art showcase and family fun day celebrating creativity, connection and community on Sunday 28 June from 11am to 3pm.

Over 10 weeks, Landcom partnered with the Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) to host a welcoming, skill-building art program at Bella Vista Pocket Park, designed to nurture creativity, confidence and community connection while creating art.

Our artists proudly showcased their final artworks at the Colour and Creativity local art showcase and family fun day.

Families enjoyed an afternoon filled with local art, community market stalls, food trucks, face painting and activities for all ages.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to support local community members, celebrate their creative achievements and enjoy a fun day out.

About ‘Colour and Creativity: A Drawing Journey’

The 10-week guided program explored drawing, colour and self-expression through coloured pencil and sketching. Participants were supported in developing drawing techniques while enjoying a relaxed, inclusive environment that celebrates creativity at every stage.

Led by qualified facilitators, including an art therapy counsellor for the women’s sessions, the program placed equal focus on artistic skill, personal expression and wellbeing.
