Have your say on our concept proposals
Hills Showground Station Precinct
Landcom on behalf of Sydney Metro has lodged a concept proposal as part of a State Significant Development application with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to develop the government land around Hills Showground Station.
We invited feedback from stakeholders, including local council and community members, which helped us shape our final draft concept proposal. Changes we made to the proposal in response to feedback include provision for a larger public park and improved connections between the public plaza and adjoining Castle Hill Showground. A brief overview of our submission is on our website.
To view the full Environmental Impact Statement and make a submission to the Department, go to: www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/major-projects/project/11481
Feedback period ends on 10 December 2019.
After public exhibition, the Department will ask Landcom to consider issues raised in submissions. The Department will then assess the proposal and make a recommendation for the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces to decide if development should go ahead. We expect a determination to be made in mid-2020, and will advise you of the outcome.
