Hills Showground
About Hills Showground Project
Close to Cattai Creek and historic Castle Hill Showground, the Hills Showground Project will provide housing and open spaces for communities. Landcom is in the early planning phases for the Hills Showground Project and are looking at opportunities to deliver a vibrant local centre, new open spaces and a mix of housing choices to meet the needs of people at different life stages.
The project will have three distinct precincts: Doran Drive, Hills Showground East (closest to Showground Road) and Hills Showground West (next to the commuter carpark). In total, the project has potential for an estimated 1,600 - 1900 dwellings and 10,000m2 of retail, commercial and spaces for community use. The focus at Showground has been the unique location of the site close to a significant riparian corridor and adjacent to the culturally significant community venue of Castle Hill Showground.
As we prepare a concept masterplan, we want to hear from you. That's why we held a community information and feedback session in the old Hills Shire Council Administration building on Saturday 28 September. You can read about our draft concept masterplan here.
Landcom wants to support the community right from the start. That’s why we are delivering events, activities and public art across many of the Metro Northwest station precincts. The Placemaking and Events section of this site provides more information on our activation program.
